1964முதல் பீடத்தில் ஊரணி கோயிலாக இருந்த வெற்றி விநாயகருக்கு 1984ல் கோயில் கட்டி கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடத்த முடிவு செய்த போது, என்ன பெயர் வைப்பது என ஆலோசிக்கப்பட்டது. அவ்வழியாக சென்ற விவசாயிகள் இருவர் வெற்றி, வெற்றி என பேசிச் சென்றனர். அன்றிலிருந்து சுவாமி வெற்றி விநாயகரானார். 2008ல் கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடந்தது.
இங்கு இரட்டை மருத மரங்கள் இருப்பது சிறப்பு.
